The pass mark for KTET 2025 exam differ for reserved and unreserved category candidates. Have a look at the KTET passing marks below:

  • For General and OBC: 60 per cent marks (90 marks out of 150)
  • For SC/ ST: 55 per cent marks (82 marks out of 150)

The marking scheme of KTET exam is as follows: - The KTET 2025 exam consists of multiple-choice questions, where each question carries one mark. - There is no negative marking for incorrect answers, which means that candidates do not lose marks for wrong answers. - The KTET exam has a total of 150 questions, and the maximum marks that can be scored are 150.

There is no age limitation to appear for the KTET exam. The candidates can take the KTET exam as many times they want. However, the candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria to appear for the exam. The educational eligibility criteria for the KTET exam are given below:

  • Bachelor of Education Degree with concerned subjects in Graduation
  • Diploma in Elemnetary Education 
  • Teacher Training Certificate Along with Secondary/Senior Secondary with atleast 45 percent

No, qualifying the Kerala Teaching Eligibility Test (KTET) does not ensure job as a Government school teacher. KTET is only a eligibility exam that verifies that the candidates qualifying for the exam is eligible to teach in schools. To get recruited as a teacher in Kerala Government schools, the KTET qualified candidates have to appear for the teacher's recruitment exam conducted by the Kerala State Government.
