The selection process for National Law Universities (NLUs) is primarily based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) score. The CLAT is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at NLUs. The minimum CLAT score required for admission to NLUs varies each year and depends on factors such as the total number of seats available, the number of applicants, and the difficulty level of the exam. The CLAT score is a significant factor in the selection process for NLUs, and candidates' performance in the CLAT exam, including their overall score and section-wise scores, is taken into consideration

Both the AP LAWCET and CLAT entrance exam are conducted for admission to the Law schools in India, however, the syllabus for these exams are different on many parameters and candidates should strategise differently for both the exams. AP LAWCET exam has sections including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Contract Law, Constitution, etc. and the CLAT entrance exam sections include English Language, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics, etc. AP LAWCET does not have mathematics subjects, AP LAWCET exam focus more on regional knowledge. CLAT generally covers the deeper aspects of the particular subject.

The duration of the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET exam is 90 minutes. You will have a total of 90 minutes to complete all 120 objective-type questions across the three sections (General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for Study of Law).

Remember, there is no specific time limit for each section, so you can manage your time as you see fit within the overall 90-minute timeframe. However, it's generally recommended to practice time management during your preparation to ensure you can answer all questions accurately within the given time.

No, there is no negative marking in the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET exam. This means candidates can attempt as many questions as they like, even if they do not know the answer. No mark will be deducted for a wrong answer or response. There will be a total of 120 questions on the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET question paper. Each question will carry one mark. Thus, candidates will receive marks equal to the correct answers given by them in the entrance examination.
