This is a very interesting question to answer. As per the guidelines of the University Grant Commission i.e. UGC, there are two different course of study. One is regular course and another is distance course. If you are planning to pursue both M.Com and LLB together in a regular course, then you are not permitted to do such. Because, UGC does not permit two regular courses simultaneously. At a point of time, UGC wanted to approve the scheme of two regular courses at the same time. For this purpose, they have consulted with many academicians, but the result was not positive as they did not receive any positive response so far from those academicians. But, if anyone wants to pursue both the courses at the same time, then he or she can opt one degree in a distance course and that is permitted by the UGC.

After a law course from an NLU such as NUALS-Kochi, you have ample placement opportunities.
The NLU itself calls number of law firms in campus and after an interview and selection process based on your CV, jobs are offered to top ranks holders.
Also, various legal associates and lawyers offer jobs at their offices to law students there.
You may also get clerkships from supreme courts after college as well.
Various corporate offices do offer jobs as legal officer and consultants for their legal teams.
You may also opt for PSU through CLAT PG after LLB, and earn a handsome salary and government employee status.
You also have an option to go for your independent practice or under a senior.
Again, you may opt for judiciary and UPSC examination as well.
In house teaching and research jobs are also offered, provided you go for LLM there.
Thus, a lot of opportunities are available for students.

Well, the rankings of the law colleges in India is quite flexible on the part of ranking agencies.
You can't rank a college as such but yes it does depend on placements and other accolades to the college.
So, over the last decade, the NLUs have been considered the best and NLSIU, Bangalore topping the charts as always. The CLAT body ranks them based on their order of establishment but one must look them on the basis of their placements and other things such as moot achievements and others.
Also, there is a shift in the ranking on yearly basis based on the placements every year.
It can't be said that list doesn't change but yes, some NLUs are still considered as the top colleges.
Moreover, they have generated a brand name of their own and thus they are ranked accordingly.
Also, other 3 years law course providing colleges are there which may be considered as amongst the top but that certainly gets changed every year.
So, its not that the list doesn't change and there is a dynamism in their rankings.

Well, having an additional certificate course or a diploma or a PG in labour and employment law will be an add on to you depending on your career plans. The additional qualifications will help you in getting through labour commissioner examinations and that would certainly be a great opportunity.
Also, you would be preferred as a professor amongst other for the same subject.
Moreover, labour and employment have been issues over which a no. of cause if actions have arisen and thus a specialised lawyer in this field is much required and having an additional qualification would help in having better understandings of the subject.
Also, in every interview of firms and corporate houses and the PSUs, questions from labour laws are asked and thus you would be able to attempt the questions well and justify.
Also, your diploma in labour laws would help you in your labour commissioner interviews and duties thereon.

Universities like NALSAR and NUJS offer certificate and PG Diploma programmes in Business Law. This sphere is not merely limited to Indian jurisprudence but also deals with international business laws, which gives you an upper hand when compared to your counterparts in law schools. In NUJS, this course is taught by one of the best professors of NUJS. Some firms prefer those who have this additional certificate while hiring them. Additionally, many management firms and banks also prefer the students who have Diploma in business law, because by this course they get to know about Law of Contract/Commercial Law, Competition Laws, Laws of Arbitration and International Arbitration, Banking and Insurance laws, Environment Laws and intellectual property rights law. This clearly shows the wide variety of areas covered within a year. This certificate is only given after a candidate is passed in giving his dissertation.

Hello, before getting into this question, I will just tell you one basic thing that is there is no such college which have particular course or specialization in purely family law. Family law is mandatory course offered in national law universities and other law schools. There is no such hard and fast rule of deciding particular college as best. Now, coming back to your question, I believe that since famous family law teacher, professor Poonam Pradhan Saxena is Vice chancellor of NLU, Jodhpur, it will give you the maximum advantage to learn family law. Besides this, NLSIU, Bangalore is also a pioneer in its family law expertise. Other top tier law schools like NALSAR- Hyderabad, WBNUJS-Kolkata, and NLIU- Bhopal also have good faculty to know the family law. I believe that law schools just tell you the limited face of family law and it is better that you do internship in family court in a District or under a lawyer, who deals with family matters in High court.
