Generally cutoff for general category goes to 220 marks minimum. But if paper was tough than there are chances that merit may fall. If you are securing marks around 220-230 minimum you have good chances.

CLAT is not a course. It is a common law admission test for 5-year BA LLB, BLS LLB or BBA LLB course from various National Law University such as Jodhpur, Hyderabad, West Bengal, Mumbai and so on. If you are interested is law, has good logical reasoning, good in communication and persuasion then you may go for law. If IIT stands for engineering, AIIIMS for MBBS then National Law University stands for law programmes. You can get a job in the legal department as a legal advisor in drafting and application of litigations as well as non-litigation and you may start your independent career too.

That depends upon the marks you score in class 12th. If you want good branch and a good college in Engineering then apply for State Level Engineering Exams and Private Engineering colleges. If you are interested in Computer Science then go for Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology if you don't want to pursue Engineering then go for BCA.

You can opt for 5-year BLS LLB or BA LLB as it would be a better option. You can pursue BA in political science.

Pursuing LLB from BHU is not expensive at all. You will have to pay a yearly fee of Rs. 2000 and 200 extra for even semester exams. So there is no fee burden. If we talk about books, books are available at shops at minimum price possible.

First of all, its really good that you have a specific goal in life at this age. Before telling you the stream I want you to decide what you want to do as a lawyer. Do you want to go in litigation or join a corporate firm? If you want to go in litigation then B.A. LLB is the one of the best option and your stream should be arts or humanities. If you want to go in corporate world you should go for B.COM LLB with commerce as stream. Overall if we look from CLAT's perspective humanities can be really useful when you approach GK and stuff. You could be a lawyer using your science basics. You can be a patent officer. You can pursue law in the field of medicinal plants or patents of Ayurveda, etc. You can go to any law college and specialise in the science field.

Yes, you have to give the Calcutta University examination for BA LLB (Hons) course. Try not to confine yourself to Calcutta University. Give as many law entrance tests as you can such as MH-CET, etc.
