The majority of lawyers often get a Bachelor of Laws degree which takes three years after high school to become advocates. Nevertheless, one has the option of pursuing a postgraduate LLB degree for two years if he/she already possesses an undergraduate degree in any other field. After obtaining your LLB, you will have to register with the Bar Council of India and do a six-month internship. Only then can you appear for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE). A law degree and a license to practice is a must to become a Constitutional lawyer in India. Candidates have to get themselves enrolled in Bar Council of India in order to practise law. They must also clear AIBE in order to be eligible to practise anywhere in country. Furthermore, they must also possess few years of experience in order to practise Constitutional Law. Many BCom LLB graduates decide to work as attorneys or advocates. They are qualified to practice law in a variety of fields, including corporate, criminal, labor, tax, and civil law. Of course, you can eventually become a lawyer even with an MA in political science. You have to apply for law degrees like LLB. A Master's degree in Political Science, while valuable, doesn't directly qualify you to practice law.

No, After completing LLB you become a lawyer, however, you are still not an advocate and hence cannot practice law. To become an advocate and to practice law as a profession, you mandatorily need to clear the All India Bar Examination (AIBE). After qualifying AIBE, one can practice law as a full fledged profession.

No, you cannot become a lawyer without a Law degree. You mandatorily need to obtain degrees such as BA/BCom/BSc/BBA LLB or LLB in order to be a lawyer in India. To become a lawyer, one must first complete three-year or five-year LLB from a recognised university and possess degree certificate. Then, they must enrol themselves in local Bar Council of the concerned state and enrolled as an advocate. Within two years of the enrolment, they must appear and clear AIBE in order to be eligible to practise anywhere in India.
