Many BCom LLB graduates decide to work as attorneys or advocates. They are qualified to practice law in a variety of fields, including corporate, criminal, labor, tax, and civil law. They might join law firms or work on their own. Therefore, candidates aspiring to enter into the field of litigation must ensure that they have completed BCom LLB from recognised university.

They must subsequently clear AIBE within 2 years of getting themselves registered with the Bar Council. They must also intern or practise under senior advocates to learn the nuances of Advocacy.

To practice Commercial Law or any specialisation in Law, you will typically need to:

  • Complete a LLM degree: This is a PG professional degree course that provides students with the foundation for legal practice.
  • Pass the bar exam: This licensing exam is required to practice law in a particular jurisdiction, such as AIBE.

Of course, you can eventually become a lawyer even with an MA in political science. You have to apply for law degrees like LLB. A Master's degree in Political Science, while valuable, doesn't directly qualify you to practice law.

No, After completing LLB you become a lawyer, however, you are still not an advocate and hence cannot practice law. To become an advocate and to practice law as a profession, you mandatorily need to clear the All India Bar Examination (AIBE). After qualifying AIBE, one can practice law as a full fledged profession.

No, you cannot become a lawyer without a Law degree. You mandatorily need to obtain degrees such as BA/BCom/BSc/BBA LLB or LLB in order to be a lawyer in India. To become a lawyer, one must first complete three-year or five-year LLB from a recognised university and possess degree certificate. Then, they must enrol themselves in local Bar Council of the concerned state and enrolled as an advocate. Within two years of the enrolment, they must appear and clear AIBE in order to be eligible to practise anywhere in India.
