Candidates who wish to pursue BA LLB at NLU Assam must have obtained a minimum of 45% in class 12 exam. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to LLB is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with above mentioned marks from any recognised board/council. Candidates who may be appearing for their qualifying examination in March/ April, 2024 are also eligible to appear. Candidate must submit result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) at the time of admission, failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission. Further the entrance exam for admission to NLU is CLAT.

Candidate must pass in 10+2 or equivalent with 50% and above aggregate marks in any discipline (best of the 5 subjects including English). Admission will be based on CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) score / LSAT (Law School Admission Test) Score/Personal interview. For admission to LLB at Madhusudan Law College, candiates must have twelve years of school education with 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST). LLB selection is done on the basis of Entrance exam. A merit list will be prepared keeping the entrance's exams score for finalising the candidates for admission.

The eligibility criteria for the BA LLB Hons course at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow (NLU Lucknow) are as follows :

  • There is no upper age limit for the undergraduate programme in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
