Master of Laws (LLM) is a one-year full-time postgraduate programme in Law which is specialised  course offered by Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Eligibility Criteria

A person who has passed one of the following examinations shall be eligible after qualifying the entrance test to join the first semester class of the LL.M. Course:-

(a) LL.B.3 years Degree/B.A.LL.B./B.Com.LL.B. 5 years degree examination of this University with minimum 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/BC candidates); or

(b) Any equivalent examination of another University recognised by the Syndicate for this purpose.

Admission Details

Admission to LL.M course shall be on the basis of an Entrance Test conducted by the Panjab University. The merit will be calculated as under:-

1) Entrance test=80%

2) Academic Marks =20%

A one-year LL.M. Post Graduation Course in Business Law, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and International Law is available from the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL). There will be sixty (60) seats available in total for the LL.M. course.

Students in the home state general category are eligible for a specialised rate at the university. For the home state general category students, nine seats will be allotted individually. Students in the SC/ST category will be given 18 seats. Six places are set aside for students belonging to the OBC category. 40 seats are available for LLM admission at NLU Assam. The CLAT score determines admission. To be considered for admission to the LLM programme at NLU Assam, candidates must register via the CLAT portal. Seven specialisations in LLM courses are available at NLU Assam. Commercial law, constitutional law, corporate law, environmental law, human rights & international humanitarian law, intellectual property law, and international/international trade law are among the specialisations in law that NLU Assam offers. Admission to all programmes at National Law University Assam is handled online using the college's official website. Registration for the LLM programme at NLU Assam is done through CLAT for admissions.

Candidates must hold an LLB or an equivalent degree from an accredited university in order to be considered for admission to LLM programmes. A Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), AILET, LSAT India, or individual entrance examinations administered by colleges are frequently included in the admissions process. At NLU Assam, there are 30 available seats for LLM. At the postgraduate level, NLU Assam provides a one-year LLM programme. Students may apply if they have a valid CLAT exam score and satisfy the minimal eligibility requirements. An undergraduate degree with a 50% cumulative GPA is the primary qualifying requirement, and the CLAT entrance exam is accepted. The tuition fee structure is 55 K in total.
