The LLM programme at NLUJAA lasts for a year. The course offers seven different specialisations. The following is a list of LLM specialisations:

A passing CLAT score is a requirement for admission to the NLUJAA LLM programme. In order to receive their final seat assignment, students must also go through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) counselling process run by CNLU.

Constitutional law, international trade law, administrative law, human rights & international humanitarian law, security & investment law, etc. are among the specialisations offered by LLM colleges in India. 

Founded in 1956, the Indian Law Institute (ILI) holds the status of a deemed university and serves as a socio-legal research institute located in New Delhi. Recognised for its contributions to legal research and education, ILI stands as an esteemed institution within the legal landscape.

On the other hand, the National Law University, Delhi (NLU) has consistently secured a high rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), holding the second position for three consecutive years. NLU Delhi has earned an A grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is duly approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). National Law Universities (NLUs), including NLU Delhi, are government-established institutions supervised by the Bar Council of India, enjoying a reputation equivalent to that of esteemed institutions like IIMs and IITs in the realm of law.

NLU Delhi's prominence is attributed to its exceptional teaching methods and educational pedagogy, further reflected in its high rankings. The university attracts top recruiters such as L&L Partners, Trilegal, S&R Associates, P&A Law Offices, and Khaitan & Co.

NLU Delhi's LLM programme stands out with a noteworthy placement record. For the 2019 batch, the university offered a competitive package of 15 LPAs. The range of packages showcases the diversity of opportunities available to graduates, with the highest package reaching around 20 LPA, the lowest around 4.5 LPA, and the average standing at around 7 LPA. These figures highlight NLU Delhi's commitment to providing students with valuable career prospects and contributing to their success in the field of law.

National Law University Odisha lets you join their LL.M programme if you did well on the Common Law Admission Test. You just need a Bachelor degree in Law with at least 50% marks, and a good CLAT score. Even if you are still in the final year of your LL.B. you can apply as long as you have got 50% marks until your last declared semester or year. The admission process is competitive, and while your CLAT score is essential, NLUO might also look at your academic record, and any extracurricular stuff you have done. In 2023, the highest CLAT score they accepted for LL.M admission at NLUO was 504 for the general category and 408 for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST, and Domicile Odisha categories.

Both NLUO and KSOL are reputable law schools in India offering LL.M programs. The choice between the two on individual priorities. NLUO, located in Cuttack, Odisha, was established in 2008 and offers specializations in Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Intellectual Property Rights Law, Corporate Law, Environmental Law, International Law, and Human Rights Law. On the other hand, KSOL, situated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, established in 1993, provides specializations in Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Intellectual Property Rights Law, Corporate Law, Tax Law, International Law, and Human Rights Law. Comparative factors include faculty expertise, where NLUO may have a slight edge, and infrastructure, with NLUO having a newer campus. Both schools have good placement records, though NLUO might offer slightly better opportunities in top law firms and corporate houses. Fees are comparable, but NLUO may have slightly higher fees for specific specializations. While NLUO is generally considered more prestigious, KSOL is also reputable. Consider factors like your area of interest, location preference, and financial situation to make an informed decision.
