These are all quite confusing, MA in English and MA Literature are all about mixed subjects like English Grammar, World and Indian Literature from 15th to modern century.
Linguistics deals with the Grammar part and depths of any language.

~NET - National Eligibility Test is conducted by UGC twice every year one in June and other December every year for selection of Lectureship and award to JRF(Junior Research Fellowship).
~The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed 55% marks(50% for SC/ST candidate) in any stream from a recognized University. There is no upper age limit for those applying for Lectureship but those applying for JRF should be within the age of 28 years.

The eligibility criteria for regular MA English in most of the universities is:
BA Honors in English or graduation with English as a subject in all 3 years of graduation with minimum 50 percentage.
So, you are not eligible for the same.
