In order to appear for SET, you need to have minimum 50% aggregate in your Master's degree.

You need to have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized institute.

Frankly speaking, it does not matter if you write a 100 words or 100 hundred pages. What matters is whether you have an in-depth grasp of the subject with the ability to put forward your arguments.

Eligibility-
BA (Hons.)/ BA under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at B.A. level. The subject in which admission is sought must be a Hons. Subject at BA (Hons.) level/subject studied in all the three parts at BA level.
Entrance Exam -
Admissions are made through an Entrance Examination Postgraduate Entrance Test (PET) generally conducted between May/June every year. Notification for the Entrance Examination will be generally released during February every year.
