Hello Kavya,
It's very nice to know your dream of pursuing postgraduate studies in Germany after doing your engineering in India. Yes, Germany is a good country to opt for. Of course competition is a bit tough here but then I am sure you will work hard to fulfil your dreams. I am attaching a link that will give you all required information. But it's best to approach an agency in dealing with sending students to Germany since there are many nuances to the whole process.

Students are expected to have at least 70-75% from a reputed Indian University. They are also required to appear for GRE (by some Universities) and a score of above 300 should do the needful. IELTS (6.0) or TOEFL (100) is also required. Regards.

The main criteria is to have extremely good marks. More than 75% is recommended. Your internship, projects will be counted. Publications, research work etc. Are added advantage. You must also take the IELTS. If you know German language its another plus point.
