Being a M.Sc in Microbiology pass out you have two main defined disciplines to pursue a career I.e. Education and Research. With a M.Sc degree you can apply to teach in various institutions or you may write to qualify NET for the posts of lectureship.
Research is another huge domain that you may enter but for this one would require a doctoral program in a specific topic based on your interest.
With SAS being an entirely a different application but can be of help in terms creating and processing analytic but then it is better to go for it if you have had some work experience. With a background of Microbiology, you can opt for Clinical Research as this may be relevant provided you are interested to pursue a career in the same.
