At the BSc Nursing level, you'll learn the basics of every specialization. Once you complete the degree, you can pursue an MSc Nursing in whichever specialization you want. By that time, you'll know the most suitable specialization for yourself, which'll excite you, and motivate you to pursue a career in.

MSc Nursing itself is a very good option for Nurses who want to gain expertise in a specific department. However, some specializations hold significant value due to their high demand, well-paying career options, etc. Among these MSc Nursing specializations, Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing, Child Health (Paediatric) Nursing, Mental Health (Psychiatric) Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, and Community Health Nursing are the most popular and the most sough-after areas.

Yes, you can either have a BSc in Nursing or a Post Basic BSc Nursing degree to be eligible for an MSc Nursing course. However, a minimum of 1 year of work experience in a healthcare facility can be a must for some top colleges, also in a specific department, if you want to go for a specific specialization.
