M.Tech Eligibility

A total of six M.Tech courses are offered at SoET, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, i.e., Petroleum, Electrical, Nuclear Science & Technology, Energy Systems, Chemical Engineering and Energy and Environment Management.The admission process is conducted in two phases. Phase one is for candidates having Qualified and valid GATE Score) and Phase two is for GATE / non-GATE candidates.

Candidates who have complete a bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate or CPI/ CGPA of 5.5 in 10 point scale in the qualifying degree in relevant subjects can apply for SoET PDEU M.Tech course. The subject requirement varies specialisation-wise for M.Tech programme. Aspirants applying for M.Tech must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission. 

VIT Bhopal University offers full-time two-year M.Tech in various specialisations at the postgraduate level. VIT Bhopal conducts VITMEE, which is a computer-based test, to offer admission to MTech. The University offers full-time integrated programmes, namely integrated MTech. The duration of the programme is five years. VIT Bhopal awards a master’s degree in Technology and Science at the end of the curriculum.

Aspirants who have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/ or Technical Vocational Subjects and English with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category) can apply for integrated M.Tech course. Candidates must prove their eligibility during the verification process to avoid rejection.

The eligibility criteria for BTech course Class 12 with 50% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects. Candidates who belong to BC/BCM, MBC/DNC, SC/SCA/ST should get Class 12 with 45% to 40% aggregate. Apart from this, the college offers Science and Humanities courses under the UG degree.

At PG level, NIT Jalandhar offers a two year M.Tech course. To be eligible for admission to this course, candidates must pass graduation with minimum 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA with BE/BTech subject from a recognised university. After meeting the basic educational requirements for the course, candidates will be able to appear for GATE and further admission process.
