VITMEE 2027: Dates, Official Notification (Soon), Sample Papers

The Vellore Institute of Technology Master’s Entrance Examination (VITMEE) is conducted to offer admission to MTech programs in VIT Group of Institutions. The exam is held once a year on multiple dates. Candidates qualifying can get admission to VIT campuses in India:

• VIT AP
• VIT Bhopal

Candidates who want to apply for VIT MTech entrance exam must ensure that meet the eligibility criteria. VITMEE eligibility criteria 2027 include minimum qualifying mark, degree qualification, etc. Candidates can check the VITMEE eligibility details below:

• Must have a full degree from a recognised university/institute with a minimum qualifying mark of 60%

How to fill VITMEE 2027 Application Form?

• Register to generate user login credentials

• Upload photo and signature as per specifications

• Uploading Aadhar card is mandatory

The registration fee is INR 1200 for all categories. Candidates must note that the fee amount is non-refundable and can be paid through netbanking/credit card/debit card/UPI

Candidates appearing for the VITMEE exam must start their preparation right away during their academics. Here are some VIT MTech preparation tips that students can implement in their studies:

• Start building concepts. Most questions asked in VITMEE are mid-level difficult but are concept-heavy
• Check sample papers and analyse what topics and chapters have been asked the most. 
• Check syllabus and exam pattern carefully
• Prepare a timetable and plan accordingly. For example, if you are spending 4 hours for VITMEE preparation, then give 2 hours for theory-based learning and 2 hours for solving and mock test attempt
• Practice GATE PYQs for in-depth understanding the concepts and revise daily

VITMEE Exam Day Guidelines 2027

Candidates appearing for the exam must reach the test centre at least 1:30 hours before the exam time. Besides that, candidates need to follow the mentioned instructions:

• It is mandatory to complete the registration process with the help of invigilators.
• After registration, candidates will be allotted a computer system to appear for the CBT.
• No extra time will be provided to students to complete the exam

Items to Carry and Avoid

On exam day, students must carry their admit card, with a pen /pencil for rough work. Items that are not allowed at VITMEE exam centre: Any electronic gadgets, such as mobile phones, calculators, pagers, etc., text materials, etc.

The Vellore Institute of Technology will conduct the VITMEE exam in the following cities. The details of the exam centre and test city will be available on the VITMEE 2027 admit card. VIT does not issue official question paper or answer key. However, candidates can find VITMEE sample papers along with answer key. With the help of the answer key, candidates can get an idea of the question paper difficulty level. Students can download free sample paper PDF below. 

The Vellore Institute of Technology will announce VITMEE result on the official page - vit.ac.in. Candidates who have appeared exam can check their results on the VITMEE candidate portal. To access the result or VITMEE rank card, candidates have to provide their application number and date of birth. Based on the candidate's performance, choice filling and counselling peferences are offered to students. Candidates are advised to read all instructions carefully before heading for the counselling.

VITMEE Expected Cutoff 2027

Based on the past results and VITMEE cutoff trends, candidates can check branch-wise analysis below:

• For CSE, a rank between 1700 -2200 is safe for VIT Vellore Campus
• For VLSI and Embedded Systems - the expected closing cutoff rank is around 5000
• For Mechanical, Civil Engineering and Biotechnology, the expected VITMEE cutoff rank can be around 10000
