VITMEE is a computer-based entrance exam conducted to offer postgraduate courses and programmes (MTech) in various schools of VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology). VITMEE admission process and registration timeline

The VITMEE is conducted only once a year. Registrations for VITMEE usually start in the third week of January, and the CBT is conducted on two dates (mostly in April), and the results are announced in May. Overall, the selection of the applicants is based on the following -

  • Performance in the VITMEE exam
  • Verification of the documents, followed by online counselling

Selected candidates will be offered scholarships as per the AICTE norms (to GATE/CEED), qualified candidates.

A: 

Vellore Institute of Technology will conduct the VITMEE 2026 exam online (computer-based) test. Applicants appearing in the exam have to carry their VITMEE admit card 2026 along with one valid photo ID proof. Applicants are advised to practice a mock test to get verse with VITMEE online test interface. The authorities will not conduct the VITMEE exam 2026 offline.
