M.Tech Eligibility

To secure admission to the M.Tech programme at Sharda School of Engineering and Technology for the year 2023, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree (B.Tech./B.E./B.Sc. (Engg.) in disciplines such as Mechanical, Automobile, Electronics, Electrical, Metallurgy, Materials Technology, or Civil Engineering. A minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying degree is a prerequisite for eligibility. Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) or NET (National Eligibility Test).

To be eligible for the M.Tech programme at NSIT (Netaji Subhas University of Technology), candidates should have either a 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master's degree in Science, Computer Applications, or its equivalent. A valid GATE score is essential, with specific score requirements for different categories of candidates. Those without a GATE score might need to pass an entrance test if seats remain available after admitting GATE-qualified candidates. Additionally, individuals sponsored by industries, R&D organizations, or national laboratories can also apply, provided they fulfill the academic and experience prerequisites. The institute requires a valid GATE scorecard for admission to the M.Tech courses in order to apply.If a candidate does not have a valid GATE scorecard, the evaluation will be based on a 100-point scale instead. But preference is given to GATE-qualified qualified candidates only.The GATE 2024 exam will be conducted between Feb 3, 2024 and Feb 11, 2024.

VJTI also offers diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programme and the courses include BTech, MTech, MCA, PhD, etc. There has been a set-up of Distance Education Programmes with IIT with VJTI as a Remote Centre.Candidates must register for the GATE exam before he last date of registration.
