The SSN College of Engineering is ranked 47 among the top Engineering colleges in India as per the NIRF 2025 rankings. This college provide placement support to the students. SSN College Chennai median package offered to the UG-4 year students 2024 was INR 8.60 LPA and the max. package received by the 2024 - 2025 batch students was INR 58 LPA.

SSNCE placement report for the year 2023 states that the highest package offered to MTech students was INR 9.83 LPA. TATA, L&T, Bosch, Infosys, and Capgemini are some of the top recruiters of the college.

Candidates fulfilling the course-specific eligibility requirements can apply for the course. Admission to the M.Tech courses is merit-based. Hence, applicants' scores in the last qualifying exam are considered for selection. Moreover, preference is given to candidates with valid scores of GATE or TANCET. However, these entrance tests are not mandatory. Further, eligible candidates can apply by filling out the application form online through the college's official website.

So far the highest package offered to M.Tech students during the 2023 placements was INR 9 LPA. However, in 2022 the highest package was relatively high. A year-on-year decline has been observed in the M.Tech the highest package from 2021 to 2023. The overall engineerijng package for placement 2023 was INR 44 LPA. The total tuition for the two-year M.Tech programme at CT University is INR 1.52 lakh. Considering the total cost of tuition and the package secured this seems to be a good return on the investment. The package mentioned is the overall package of Engineering and is not specific to M.Tech prograame. The total tuition fee is taken from unofficial sources and hence is, indicative.
