M.Tech

The selection process of IIIT Sri City M.Tech for Non-GATE is divided into two categories a)Non-GATE candidates with an undergraduate degree from CFTI institutes b) Non-GATE General candidates (Non-CFTI or CFTI with less than 8.0 CGPA). 

Selection process for both the categories is mentioned below:

Non GATE Candidates with an Undergraduate degree from CFTI Institutes

• The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit in the qualifying degree. Candidate must have scored a minimum of 8.0 CGPA to fall under this category.
• Shortlisted candidates have to appear for a Coding Test and Personal Interview conducted by IIIT Sri City.

Non GATE General candidates (Non-CFTI or CFTI with less than 8.0 CGPA)

• Candidates who does not have an undergraduate degree from a CFTI Institute or the aggregate score from CFTI institute is less than 8.0 CGPA, falls under this category.
• The selection is based on the entrance test conducted by IIIT Sri City, the syllabus of this entrance test is similar to GATE Syllabus.
• After appearing for the entrance test, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Coding test followed by a personal interview.
• Prior work experience will be given additional weightage in the selection process.

The median salary for M.Tech at DTU stood at INR 10 Lacs for the academic year 2021 as per the NIRF report 2022. Other than the placements, DTU got ranked on position 35 for Engineering category. Hence, it is considered a good option for MTech. Further, as per the verified students’ reviews on Shiksha, the institute offers all the necessary amenities to the students with respect to well-equipped laboratories with all the necessary instruments, computers and software according to students' needs, a spacious library with all kinds of books to enhance the knowledge of students. Hence, DTU can be considered a decent option for MTech. 

The eligibility criteria of IIIT Bhubaneswar for M.Tech is as mentioned below:

For GATE:

• Graduate Degree in BE/BTech, BPharma, BArch, BSc (Research)/BS, Professional Society Examination (equivalent to BE/BTech/BArch), MSc/MA/MCA or equivalent, Integrated ME/MTech, Integrated MSc/Integrated BS-MS, Integrated ME/MTech or Dual Degree (after Diploma or 10+2)

For Non-GATE:

• Graduate degree in BTech/B.E. from any recognised University with specialisation  in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology/ Computer Engineering or any Equivalence specialisation.

or

• MCA from a recognised University.

or

• MSc in Computer Science or Information Technology from a Recognized University.
