The DSAT entrance exam is only for DSU. The other 2 campus's admission is only through CET or COMEDK. So writing DSAT is pointless if you're interested in DSCE and DSIT.

You didn't fail. It was just a matter of few questions and speed which made others to score more than you and you can achieve the same by practice and hard work. And if you are talking about SGSITS then it depends on your rank, category, branch you wanna opt, etc. I will personally suggest that avoid taking admission in BM. Rest depends on your interest. For general category male, normally, the closing rank is around 40,000, still if you want admission then you can try your luck in the college level counselling.

Now regarding the study, it's similar to any other engineering colleges in India.
The placement in every year 90%. But in civil, it was below 5%.
So, if you want placement then join electronic & communication, computer science or information science branch.
One thing is the enjoyment which you will get. You will have best moments of your life.
The local police is not good. They always look for making out money. Some localities people will not cooperate. But if they become your friends than you will enjoy their company

That's not certain unless you have home state quota and category to work with. But with the marks, you scored you can have a try because cut-off varies at a larger extent year to year. I guess that if categories are applicable, you would be having good chance to get into MANIT. Yeah, but don't miss counselling of Jossa in any condition.
