Admission to the BTech program at MIT Chennai is merit-based (considering the performance in the previous qualifying exam). The final selection is facilitated through the TNEA Counseling process; this is the main gateway for admissions to Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. However, performance in the counseling sessions also plays a critical role.
