Your chances of getting into MIT Chennai with a 180 score in state board exams are quite low. The admissions in B.Tech at this institute are done based on merit, which is prepared according to the 12th score of candidates and cutoff, which is prepared according to the TNEA exam. The general merit to take admission typically falls in the range of 197-200 every year. Due to limited seats and high demand, the cutoff and merit are always on the higher side. However, the cutoff varies every year, and a guaranteed answer cannot be given; only predictions can be made. You are advised to appear for the TNEA exam and get a good score in that so

The admission process for MIT Chennai differs with the programme you are applying for. For B.Tech programs, admission is through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions), where candidates are selected based on their Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There is no requirement for JEE scores for B.Tech admissions. For M.Tech programmes, candidates should have BTech with 50% marks in relevant fields. TANCET is compulsorily conducted, and they must also have valid GATE score for the said programmes.
