Deepak, notification for counselling is out. Check on the offical page of DTE, Maharastra
http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/PH2015/StaticPages/HomePage.aspx
Other than this, if you can go outside Maharashtra then apply for admission outside Maharashtra in some good private universities. Many good universities offer good placements. Many of them have encouraged their students and have patents in their names too. Some even offer scholarships.

Hi Sameer,
Both the institutes mentioned by you are equally good and thus it will be very difficult to tell which one will be the best option. However, we can help you with the parameters that you can keep in mind while choosing an institute among them. You can consider the below parameters
1) Faculty,
2) Affiliation / Recognition
3) Course Material,
4) Quality Education,
5) Fees
6) Infrastructure
7) Success Rate.
8) Placement
9) Top recruiting companies.
Also, if possible go through the alumni speak section to get an idea what the alumni thinks about the institute.
I hope this information helps. Please feel free to revert.
Wish you luck.

Suvashree, getting a technical degree through correspondence is not advisable. Most of the organizations reject such candidates.
Either go for a regular M.Tech or a part time one. Admission to both is based either on GATE score or on institution specific test. In some private universities you can direct admission too on the basis of your marks in graduation.
Many universities have good placement records and some even offer scholarships to students on the basis of GATE scores as well as marks in graduation.
