Through their faculty's assistance, GIBS students are provided with guidance in transforming ideas into action. Faculty will assist with research projects through crafting an initial research problem, enhancing research methodology, and publishing findings. In addition, they provide innovation in entrepreneurship by conducting workshops and using case study methods and mentorship. Faculty also link students to industry experts and alumni, giving them the opportunity to discuss real-time, practical experiences. In the creation and incubation of new businesses, faculty provide ongoing structured support from the creation of business plans to assistance with creation of business pitches while gaining access to resources such as seed money and connections to potential investors. Faculty assist students not only in teaching, but also in developing self-confidence, developing creativity, and developing the resilience they will need to succeed in the real world.

GIBS Business School had the highest number of recruiters ever to participate in its last placement season — over 220. This means students had many great options across different industries. In addition to this, GIBS also had more than 90 companies that came only for summer internship opportunities; allowing students to get real-world experience and practical learning before entering the workforce full-time. The strong participation by employers shows how committed GIBS is to helping students connect with potential employers and being there for students throughout their career paths. Because of these high numbers of participants at GIBS, students also gained access to companies that offered both full-time positions as well as internships. This enabled students to acquire both skills and confidence while they prepared for future careers.

GIBS Business School maintains strong internship opportunities through summer internships, live projects, industry-based research assignments, and entrepreneurship internships offered via the IRE School. Those span domains such as marketing, finance, HR, analytics, operations, and so on, along with companies like Deloitte, EY, HDFC, Amazon, and ICICI. The placement cell fully coordinates the whole internship activity by collaborating with the recruiter to bring relevant roles, getting the students ready through resume building and interviews, shortlisting students as per their skill and interest, scheduling company selection processes, and providing continuous mentorship during the course of the internship while tracking performance through reports and feedback. The placement team ensures that the students meet academic requirements, are properly certified, and, whenever possible, convert the internships into full-time employment opportunities, thus making the entire process structured and career-oriented.
