I don't think that you'll get Aeronautical Engineering at 70 marks. I suggest you go for a 2nd attempt and get atleast 100.

The sports facility at MIT is pretty great. We have football field, cricket ground, Basketball court, hockey ground, an indoor badminton court, tennis court is under renovation and we have our own gym(though the equipments are a little old). Apart from that we have Marena. Its for all the manipal university students and staff. It has jogging track, badminton court, tennis court, a huge gym, futsal and even squash court. To avail all the marena facilities, you should have non-marking shoes. For gym you will have to pay though. Apart from this MIT also has it's swimming pool.

If you are within the top 100 candidates, you get rebate on tution fee. But you will still have to pay for the hostel and mess.

There's no such defined cut off. Varies every year. Depends on the candidates who scored better you as in what is the beach they opted for. I am in second year now and I got mechanical with a score of 120 out of 200 in the second counselling round. Try to score atleast 130 because competition gets tougher every year.

You might get aeronautical but i suggest that you try again and get a better score. Don't take any risk when you can make it better.

VIT does not offer Aeronautical Engineering in case you want to go for that. Also as far as I've heard the facilities in MIT are better than there. The food is good, academics is nice and there are less rules. Also regarding the restrictions, MIT gives more freedom to the students. There are many student clubs and projects here which will help you work on something you're passionate about and develop in those fields. The faculty is always eager to help students with anything and even the crowd here is good. The hostels are pretty comfortable and the campus is clean and well maintained.

There is not much scope in aeronautical as of now. But in future there will be. We've started working on a lot of research projects and the field is developing very fast these days.

Aeronautical engineering in there in only a few selected colleges in India. Manipal is by far one of the best colleges for it. The professors are very passionate and knowledgeable about the subjects. We have machines which are only there in IIT's. The labs are amazing. You can do a lot of experimental research. We have a non working plane also for better studies and also flight simulation system.
