Understand that political Science and BJMC are somehow interlinked. BA in mass communication does not have any subject related to political Science but a person having knowledge of political Science will surely have an edge over other candidates pursuing the same program. In my opinion, you should go for a course in BJMC (Bachelors in journalism and mass communication) as you learn wide variety of subjects in this course. You learn a bit about image and video making, editing as well from which you can begin to brush up your skills of getting better at animation as well. With a degree in BJMC, you will have job opportunities open in lot many fields. Hence, I'd suggest you to go for cinema industry than VFX.
