Yes, a 10+2 pass out student from any stream is eligible to pursue journalism. But, don't just do it for the sake that you didn't got admission in medical or as a 2nd option, do it if you have a passion for journalism and media because only then you will be able to become successful in this field.

Well, both have a great scope. B.Tech CSE is something what you may do so there are lot of opportunities. For Mass communication, you should work a little and explore, though it's a very good and updating field.
