The main degree is known as Journalism and Mass Communication. If one goes for this, in the later part, as in MBA, a specialisation is offered for more specialized study of particular field. This way, Advertising is a Specialisation in Journalism. Advertising and Public Relations is offered as a Master Degree or a PG Diploma under Journalism faculty.

I am not sure which location or state you want to go for the course but I can suggest about mass communication. Each stream of mass communication is worth if done properly. Advertising and PR, electronic media, internet journalism, film production, etc. are worth doing.

There are wide range of jobs available for BJMC graduates. - print media, electronic media and also a freelance journalist. Yes, you can apply to various news agencies and publishing houses.
If you do the course from a good reputed college, you will get job placements and internships as well.
