To pursue BSc in Visual Media course, candidates need to have done +2 in any discipline or its equivalent with 50% aggregate or 3-year Polytechnic Diploma. Yes, there are good colleges in India for Film Direction. Whistling Woods offer the course but at a high fees of Rs 5 Lakhs to 25 Lakhs. Other than this, the following colleges are also very good for graduation and Diploma in the field of film direction:
- Film and Television Institute of India, Pune providing various 1 to 3 year Certificate and Diploma courses. The fees ranges around Rs 1.25 Lakhs approximately.
- Satyajit Rai Film and Television Institute, Kolkata providing various filmography courses with fees around Rs 1.50 Lakhs approximately.
- LV Prasad Film and TV academy, Chennai with fees ranging from Rs 2.5 Lakhs to 4.45 Lakhs.

Some of the important topics covered under MJMC will be on English (concept of Language and Literature), Fundamentals of Journalism & Mass Communication having its role as the fourth pillar of Indian Democracy, Sports and Cinema. For admission to BDes at Whistling Woods International, students first need to qualify for the Media And Entertainment Common Aptitude Test (MECAT) and then appear in the Creative Ability Test (CAT). The final selection is based on Statement of Purpose and personal interview performance. Since Whistling Woods International cutoff 2024 for BDes is not released separately students need to meet the qualifying criteria which is 50% in Class 12 to get admission.

The fee for Diploma courses at the National Academy of Media and Events, Kolkata ranges between INR 65,000 to INR 1.2 Lacs (120000). There are only 2 courses available to pursue at Suryadatta Institute of management and mass communication which are MBA/ PGDM and MCA. Out of these 2 courses, MBA is the best course. This is because, MBA is the most demanded course of this Institute and have 2 different specialities available to pursue. The median salary of this course is also higher than MCA. Although both of these courses are good in their respective fields. The ranking of MBA course is also better than MCA, it was ranked #35 by times 2023. The students should choose the final courses according to their interest only.

Yes, You can get admission to Symbiosis Institute of media and communication. According to eligibility criteria, You must have passed your 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognised board with atleast 50 % marks (45% for SC/ST) . And the selection procedure based on the score of Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET).
