According to me, you should pursue both the courses separately. You can start with Bachelor's degree in the journalism BA/ B.Sc. Then go for Masters in the same. But it will take a long time. If you are comfortable with this than go ahead. Moreover, instead of going for full-time Bachelors course, you can do it by distance mode or you may also pursue certificate course/Diploma in journalism. This generally takes from a month to one year.

Candidate with 50% marks at graduation level is applicable for the admission. University conducts an entrance test, that student must have to clear. The placement status of the college is good. The highest package offered is 7.5 LPA (approximately). It is said by one of the students that recently 65 students have been placed by the college. It has a list of reputed recruiters. It is considered good in terms of faculty, infrastructure, environment etc.

Profession of mass communication and journalism requires a big bucket of knowledge. So before buying books your first focus should be collecting as much as knowledge you can, that is possible if you daily read newspapers ad read simple NCERT books. Apart from this here I am suggesting some important books so that you can prepare yourself for journalism and mass communication entrance exams. First of all refer two publications - Arihant and Keval J. Kumar. These both are considered good for preparation. You will get a lot of content in their books. Mass communication in India by Keval J. Yes, of course like in other MNC's or company, media industries too have several departments with a proper segment. If you have a business, commerce related background you can be a part of their B2B teams, if you have IT related background you can be a part of their technical or IT sectors. So, there are opportunities. But please focus if you are willing to be news anchor, reader, journalist, editor etc. Than these are course specific. It's better if you will pursue a course related to journalism or mass communication. Thank you.
