Massachusetts Institute of Technology is better for research careers, access to global tech companies and US / EU job market. While IITs are better if students want a career network in India. As a full-time student at MIT, students can cross-register for classes at Harvard University – Faculty of Arts and Sciences and one of the professional schools (some exceptions applicable).
