I always maintain that HR professionals are born, not made. It is similar to leadership. This is something, which I am sharing with you, after close to 20 years of corporate experience. There are of course, two schools of thought on this. People do not work for companies. People work for people. You need to have innate HR skills to succeed in this line. Your MBA specialization basically depends on your personality, skills, and career goals. The traditional fields of Marketing and Finance will always remain popular.

If you are working and have no time for a full time course opt for Executive MBA. But if you are a non-working graduate, it is best to pursue a fulltime MBA or PDBM from a reputed institute since it will fetch you high paying jobs.

It all depends on your focus. If you want to be able to move from different sectors without any issues, you should opt for HR. Also, if you are a peoples person and like interacting with people on regular basis, then HR is the field for you.
IT is a field which is experiencing a slowdown in the current economy, but the possibilities are endless with amazing challenges.
