IT and HR are two different things. If you do combination of both you may find it easier to get placement in the IT and ITES sector in the role of recruitment and Talent Management. If your core interest is hiring, HE recruitment, talent development and management or technical training to the new hire in these sector, then the combination helps. For other role of HR such as policy, strategy, business partner, an additional specialisaiton of IT is hardly useful. Again, the placement also depends on reputation of your institute and type of company visiting your campus
