Both the institutes offer the MBA programme for two-years. Admissions in both universities are based on CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores. The MIT Shillong also accepts state entrance exams. The average salary at AIM is INR 7.4 LPA while MIT placement records are not available. The total fee for MBA at AIM is INR 3.3 Lacs while at MIT Shillong is INR 3.5 lakh. Yes, internships are compulsory and are a part of curriculum. There are total six trimesters in the MBA course at Assam Institute of Management. A summer internship programme is a part of fourth trimester in second year. It is mandatory for all students to complete their internship to complete the course.

Students can appear for entrance and fill the application form on official website. The university selects students on the basis of merit. Selected students have to appear for GD and Personal Interview as a final round.
