Hello Abhay,
There is no need to take a year's drop to solely prepare for the CAT exam as it takes around 6-months of diligent preparation to clear CAT. There are still some exams left like CMAT, CET and MAT through which you can get into some reputed B-Schools. However, if your aim is to get admitted into an IIM or a top non-IIM, then only I would advise to take a drop and prepare for CAT. Though you can give the aforementioned exams if you wish. All the best!

It depends on individual's interest. If you are good in maths and analytics then finance, operations, financial engineering and data science are good options. If you have interest in customer interaction or people management than sales and marketing or HR is a better option. There are some other interesting disciplines like Agri-Business, Rural Management, Mass Communication. All the disciplines are good if one works hard in that field.

Getting a job completely depends on candidate's skills and abilities. If you join any reputed B-School like IIMs or ISB, then you may get international placements and good career opportunities.

There is no difference between the entrance exam for MBA and PGDM. CAT/XAT/SNAP and other entrance exams are there for MBA/PGDM.
MBA colleges are affiliated to a university, whereas PGDM is offered by autonomous institutes. IIMs also offer PGDM degree. Check the below link for MBA colleges-

Yes, you can pursue MBA. But you won't get top B-Schools of India as your score is on the lower side. You can get into any MBA college with not much reputation and brand name. You need to work hard to make your MBA count after completing MBA from a tier-3/4 college.
