Hi,
To take admission in a Ph.D course, the minimum qualification required is Master's degree with a minimum 55% marks. If you fulfill the same then you can apply. You will be exempted from research eligibility test (RET) if qualified UGC NET in the subject in which you have done PG otherwise you need to appear for an entrance examination called RET. Few universities prefer candidates who have completed M.Phil.

Algappa University's placements are on the lower side but ROI is very good. Abroad placements are very less.

The job opportunities that a distance education from an open university like IGNOU offer might not be comparable in front of the packages offered to IIM graduates. Especially if we look at opportunities overseas, we will find very few of those in distance learning programmes. But if we take a comparative look at the ROI, distance learning degrees don't fare that bad either. If we take into consideration the affordable and cost-effective distance learning programmes offered by open universities like IGNOU or Dr. B.R. Here is the eligibility criteria for the MAT 2017 December exam:
- Graduates in any discipline can take the exam.
- Final year graduation students can also apply.
- Theres no age limit for MAT exam.
