This question has no meaning considering IIMs have 100 percent placements (except newly opened IIMs) and 80 percent of the CAT applicants and IIM students are from engineering background. There is no question of good or bad job, how will you define that?

You have three levels of MBA. One for Freshers second for people with two or three years of experience.Third one is for people with minimum three years of managerial experience. This is called AMBA MBA.
I don't know which one of the above you are in. Any University which offers PhD in management. you can apply. This is because when you do PhD you will get stipend to the tune of 10 lakhs per year. This money is not coming from University but from Industry who had sponsored that program. This will ensure University is good and they do have Industry exposure.
UK is the best for MBA.

Hi Sarthak,
Coming from a biotechnology background will help since MBA programs are open to students from all discipline so they look for diversity but holding a Bachelor degree in any discipline to pursue your MBA is mandatory so it won't make a difference unless you have very high grades and an extraordinary profile. Remember that most MBA programs including the top ranked ones require work experience, GMAT scores and solid career goals/MBA essays based on which admissions will be given.

They are not eligible unless the MBA is either part-time or a full time from an AICTE recognised university as AICTE does not recognise any distance learning program in management and engineering. However, you will be eligible to pursue PhD if your MBA is approved by distance education Bureau of UGC.

The global survey report by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) indicates full-time one-year MBA, executive MBA, and online MBA programs appear to be experiencing stronger application growth whereas full-time two-year, part-time, and flexible MBA programs worldwide are indicating declines this year.
Executive MBA is suitable for not only working professionals but also for those who want to renew their career prospect after a break and even for fresh graduate who wish to earn a few years experience before going back to pursue a PG degree. And since the duration of these programmes are considerably shorter than full-time MBA

B.Tech + MBA is a better option in comparison to BBA-MBA because as an engineer, you will be eligible for techno-managerial jobs in addition to pure non-technical managerial jobs. Most of the large business enterprises including MNC prefer MBA who have engineering background because their superior numerical ability and analytical skills.
