From my experience, the atmosphere at GIBS Bangalore is very friendly and enjoyable. It never felt like a place where students just attend classes and leave. There are always events, activities, guest sessions, competitions, and other programs happening on campus.

What I liked most was the positive environment. Students get along well with each other, faculty members are approachable, and there are plenty of opportunities to participate and learn new things.

In order to foster effective learning, personal attention from faculty members, and a meaningful way for students to interact with their professors and each other, GIBS Business School attempts to accept an appropriate number of students into their programme each year. The goal of the school is to create a classroom environment that supports academic success, experience in the workplace, and overall development of each student.

Intake per Program:

•  PGDM Program: Each PGDM cohort consists of 300-360 incoming students. As the cohort is made up of students with different backgrounds academically and professionally, it allows for collaborative work and discussion in the classrooms.
• BBA Program: Each BBA cohort typically consists of 180-240 incoming students. Given the number of students in the cohort, students have many opportunities to participate in academics, clubs, events, and activities focused on developing skills.

The vibrant campus life at GIBS Business School is filled with many extra-curricular opportunities to develop students personally and professionally. Students participate in clubs, sports, events, and other activities, enabling them to gain leadership, teamwork, creativity, communication abilities, and many more skills that will enhance their overall personality.

• Marketing Club- Avail of various marketing-related opportunities, including business questions, brand competitions, marketing campaigns, and case studies.
• Finance Club- Hold various financial analytical workshops, investment sessions, stock market-related activities, and finance-related competitions.
• HR Club- Focus on leadership and team-building activities as well as HR practices and talent management.
• Entrepreneurship Club- Promote innovation with startup ideas, business plan competitions, and entrepreneurial thinking.
• Cultural Club- Provide music, dance, drama, talent shows, fashion shows, and cultural events.
• Sports Club- Sponsoring both indoor/outdoor activities and recreational events such as fitness and sports tournaments.

Significant Events/Programs

• Leadership development programs through the School of Youth Leadership (SoYL).
• Industry guest speakers and expert teaching professionals provide insights.
• Management Fest and Cultural Festival provide students the opportunity to showcase their talents and work effort while organising the events.
• Workshops and seminars dealing with current business trends, new technology, communication, and professional development.
• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Community Service Activities that promote engagement within the local community and encourage social responsibility.
• Internships and live project experiences that allow for firsthand industry experience.

They don't exclusively focus on academics; they take into account the whole candidate as well as his/her skills and industriy readiness.

GIBS Business School actively fosters a collaborative environment for students through active participation with peers, team interaction, and academic and professional teamwork activities. By engaging with one another's ideas, sharing perspectives, and learning from each other's experiences through case studies, live projects, presentations, business simulations, research assignments, and group discussions, students develop and refine their communication, teamwork, leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills through the peer-learning model.

Students are encouraged to work collaboratively with their peers on a variety of projects throughout their tenure at GIBS such as management fests, TEDx events, entrepreneurship events, workshops, cultural events, and club events which contributes to the creation of a campus community that is highly involved, dynamic, and proactive in creating an interactive and stimulating environment.

Throughout group work, the faculty members of GIBS provide continuous mentoring and guidance to students to support how to work together effectively, coordinate their efforts, and maximize their practical learning experiences.

The collaborative and cooperative culture created at GIBS creates a foundation for enhancing subject matter knowledge as well as developing confidence and networking skills, creativity and adaptability, and developing team management skills which prepare students for impactful careers in industry and give them the competencies required to face the challenges that exist today in corporate environments.
