If you want to target top 10 B-schools, then aim for 70% and above. A GPA of 3.4 and above on 4.0 scale is equally important.

I studied at GIBS Bangalore, and one thing I found useful was the support available for internships, placements and skill development. Students get help with finding internship opportunities and preparing for placements through training, mock interviews, communication sessions and career guidance. There are also practical activities, projects and industry interactions that help build skills beyond regular classes.

The GIBS Finishing School is another part of the programme that focuses on making students more confident and job-ready. For me, having this kind of support throughout the course made the transition from college to the c

GIBS Business School faculty members are celebrated. They promote an interactive and student-centered learning environment. They assist their students through their academic support, career support, research projects—including internships, as well as through industry-based projects both in and outside the classroom.

How Faculty Support Students at GIBS

  • By having an open door policy for academic and career guidance.
  • Providing one-to-one mentoring programs and support.

I'd say GIBS Bangalore focuses a lot on industry-oriented learning, so it's not just about sitting in class and studying theory. I studied there, and there were plenty of opportunities to understand how things actually work in the business world.

  • Live projects and practical assignments
  • Industry visits and corporate interactions
  • Guest sessions by industry professionals
  • Case studies and business activities
  • Internships and real-world projects
  • IRE and CPMP programs for additional practical and career skills

Overall, I liked that GIBS gives importance to learning by doing, which makes it easier to connect classroom concepts with the actual corpora

No, Mahindra University MBA eligibility criteria does not require candidates to have prior work experience. Candidates can apply for MBA at this institute as soon as they complete their UG level graduation and get their entrance exam scorecard. There is also no mention of any preference that work experience grants a candidate during Mahindra University admission process.

If it's between LPU, GLA, and Galgotias for an MBA, I'd lean toward LPU.

Why? It generally offers stronger industry exposure, more MBA specializations, a bigger recruiter network, and an active campus with lots of business events and internships. GLA is a decent option, especially for North India, while Galgotias is good too, but LPU usually has the edge for overall exposure and placements.
