Hi.

  • To get an MBBS seat at Jaipur National University through Rajasthan NEET counselling 2025, your NEET UG rank generally needed to be around ~873,000 – 1,000,000+ in the General category across various counselling rounds.

  • Cutoffs may vary considerably by quota (All India vs State), category (OBC / SC / ST / EWS), and round of counselling.

Notes to keep in mind:

  • These are closing ranks from counselling, not the qualifying NEET percentiles or marks.

  • For Rajasthan private medical colleges like JNU, ranks can extend to higher numbers compared with top government colleges (which might close within ranks of ~10,000–50,000).

Yes — for many people, MBBS is overhyped. Why it's hyped:Social pressure (“doctor = success”)Job security imageRespect + stable income (eventually)Reality check:5.5+ years study + long specializationHigh stress, long hours, delayed earningsROI is slow unless you specialize or go abroadWorth it if:You genuinely want clinical work and patient careYou're okay with long training and delayed rewardsNot worth it if:You're choosing it for money, status, or family pressure

The total number of MBBS seats in Uttarakhand are 1150. Out of these, 700 are government medical college seats and remaining 450 are private college ones in Uttarakhand. Those who clear the NEET UG exam can compete in the counselling process for these seats to take admissions to MBBS course.
