IT companies selection criteria for MCA placement are as follows:
(a) Good academic records preferably first division in 10th, 12th, graduation and Post graduation
(b) Analytical and problem solving skills
(c) Good programming skills in at least one programming language
(d) Good understanding of RDBMS, Data structures and algorithm

If you are from TN, you can study BCA through distance mode from Madurai Kamaraj University. Else, I would suggest, you should look at the University of Madras or Pondicherry University, both are central universities and are eligible to award degree all over India and they are not limited to a particular state. Also, both the universities have study centres all over India. I would recommend Madras or Pondicherry University over Mumbai University if you are from South India.

University change or college change is completely dependent on university and college norms, some college allow it and some won't plus you need to have good scores in the first year to apply for the same. For further details contact the college authorities.

Currently, MCA graduates starting salaries in campus placement is minimum INR 3.5 LPA. Top institute graduates may get maximum up to INR 10 lakhs. BCA graduates get an average salary of 15k INR per month.

Yes, it is good to pursue MCA from Chitkara University as it is a private deemed university, so you don't need to worry about the placements as it is their responsibility.
