Forensic Medicine Science course is typically offered as an MD (Doctor of Medicine) course in India. The MD in Forensic Medicine focuses on applying medical knowledge to legal investigations, including autopsy procedures, crime scene analysis, and determining causes of death.

Unlike MS courses, which focus on surgical practices, MD programs are more theory-based and research-oriented, making MD in Forensic Medicine the appropriate qualification for those aiming to become forensic doctors or medico-legal experts.

Yes, after BAMS you can do MD also. But it will be MD in Ayurveda, not in modern medicine. This helps student to study more deep in subject like Kayachikitsa, Panchakarma, Stree Rog and many others.

For this, you need to pass entrance exam and fulfill rules of admission. With MD Ayurveda, BAMS doctors can grow skill more and work in higher position in Ayurvedic field.

BHMS course graduates cannot directly switch to allopathic medicine or practice allopathic treatments without completing additional qualifications. While they are trained in homeopathy and can legally practice homeopathic medicine, their training does not include the study of conventional medicine.

No, the Pharm D course is not equal to the MD.

PharmD is a professional doctorate in Pharmacy that focuses on drug therapy management, medication counselling, and patient care, preparing graduates to work as clinical pharmacists. It does not grant the authority to diagnose or treat medical conditions.

MD, on the other hand, is a medical degree that trains individuals to become physicians, responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases.

While both are doctoral degrees in healthcare, their roles, training, and responsibilities are different.

MD focuses on medical specializations like Dermatology, Pediatrics, or Cardiology, involving diagnostic skills, patient care, and non-invasive treatments.

MS, on the other hand, is centred on surgical specializations, such as Orthopedics, General Surgery, or Neurosurgery, demanding precision, extensive practical skills, and handling high-pressure situations in the operating room.

Both are challenging in their ways, with MD emphasizing analytical and clinical expertise, and MS requiring mastery of surgical techniques and endurance for long procedures.
