It is very nice to hear from you that you have already done your graduation in mechanical engineering branch and now looking for doing something. There are plenty of options. You can think of appearing for civil service exam. You can think of doing MBA. You can think of doing PG in any one of the specialist sub-branches of mechanical engineering. You can think of becoming an entrepreneur. Best wishes to you.

Every courses are good at their respective places. It is you who has to introspect yourself in which field, you want to make career and if we compare both mechanical and CSE then I would suggest you to go with CSE rather than mechanical because with every business and organisation going digital, IT sector today is a booming field as compared to other sectors and there is a huge demand of computer Science engineers and programmers.

Employment of mechanical engineers is projected to grow 9 percent from 2016 to 2026, as fast as the average for all occupations. Mechanical engineers can work in many industries and on many types of projects. As a result, their growth rate will differ by the industries that employ them.

Well, it is not good for a mechanical person to get into IT, but most of the students do that due to unavailability of jobs in mechanical sector and if you join IT, now then it will be very difficult to join core companies afterwards. I would advise you to seek an internship first even if you are not getting a job in Core Company and then move on.

Well, the scope of mechanical engineering is comparatively low now but if you get a good college you will probably have a good chance to do something better in your field.
