Mechanical Engineering Scope

Graduation in Marine Engineering: Eligibility
The minimum criteria of eligibility for this course are divided between two main requirements- educational and medical.
Educational Qualifications
B.E./ B.Tech degree holders in mechanical or naval architecture disciplines are eligible to pursue this course. Minimum marks criteria may exist in the case of some institutes. Generally, the minimum eligible score for admission lies between 50-60% aggregate marks in the B.E./ B.Tech program.
Medical/ Physical Standards
Candidates aspiring for the course need to be physically fit and capable of taking up seafaring roles. An unaided vision of 6/12 is required in each eye. Candidates should not be suffering from colour or night blindness. Also, the candidate should not be over 28 years of age at the time of the courses commencement.

Overview of short term courses in Mechanical engineering:
Mechanical Engineering comes with two or three design and software course along with their curriculum. But, in fact these courses are not taught by our faculties with their full potential and also the case is that the software used by colleges and universities in their labs is mostly demo or free trial, and as a result we cannot expect that nook and corner of the course could be taught to us.
So, it is a good option to option for short term courses that could be very useful in our placement activities. There are various software which are mostly design and analysis which could be pursued by students of Mechanical engineering stream. Mechanical Engineering is a core and evergreen branch. Almost all core industries and manufacturing units makes use of machines. Thus, for functioning and maintenance of machines, qualified Mechanical Engineers are needed by such Industries!
The point is- there are ample amounts of job opportunities for B.E./B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering graduates in Government as well as Private sector. When it comes to Government sector, organizations and departments like- Indian Railways, DRDO, Indian Armed Forces, BHEL, PWD, NHAI, State Wise Road Transport boards etc recruits Mechanical Engineers.
Private sector offers even more job opportunities. Small, Medium and Large scale manufacturing units hire large numbers of Mechanical Engineers to function efficiently. Automobile firms also recruits qualified Mechanical Engineering graduates. Starting salary (depends on different factors) is generally between 2-4.5 Lakh Rupees per year, in case of Graduates.
