It depends on your interest. In general, I would suggest you to take M.Tech since it is relevant to your field. If you have an idea of getting into business then take MBA. Both have job opportunities, it depends on our skills.

Hello Sai Vishwas, in India, what you are seeking is dealt by two different agencies. Indian Army is the user of weapons, it does not indulge in research & development, though of course it decides what it desires, keeping in mind what our adverseries have. DRDO is the organisation in India that develops different types of arms and ammunition. You can join Indian Army after your graduation in mechanical engineering. Just Google "join Indian army" and you will get all required information. Also DRDO inducts fresh graduates every year for their different labs. You just need to keep tab on advertisement. MBA is one programme which can fit well with any stream of graduation and give you an added advantage in corporate with additional skills. More so, when there are a large number of specializations available. It makes sense to pursue MBA after Mechanical now, as the economy is in distress due to Covid and many issues, the core jobs are hard to come by.
