Normally, BFIT Dehradun would admit between 60 and 120 students to its B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering each year though the figures tend to differ. The student intake is largely as per AICTE norms established in such a way that will allow the most concentrated learning possible with effective sources and attention from the faculty towards every student. GNIT IPU BTech in Mechanical Engineering is a 4-year programme available based on merit and entrance. The AICTE-approved Institute sanctions an annual intake of 60 students. Candidates must secure a 55% in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English as mandatory subjects along with a valid qualification score in JEE Main. It is well-connected with industries and possesses a dedicated placement cell that is engaged in the processing of recruitment drives on campus.
