Hello Pruthvi, Karnataka Examination Authority conducts common entrance test for Diploma holders for giving admission in engineering colleges directly in the second year called lateral entry scheme. Probably the dates for this online examination will be announced shortly and it is expected that the admission or registration process for this examination is likely to commence in the month of May after the declaration of results of Diploma examinations across the state. Hello Srinivas,
After getting admission for an engineering course and studying for 2 years in mechanical engineering, you decided to quit. Why, what happened? You have not told anything about the circumstances that made you leave this course. Was it ragging, was it the finance issue, was it inability to cope up with the study and attendant pressure? I would strongly recommend that you analyse the reasons for your decision to quit and if you can overcome the circumstances then go back to the same college and complete the remaining two years.
