There are no specific colleges which provide lateral entry. You need to check this with the college you wish to get in. As this is the information, no college shares online.

Well, if we talk about scope, CS has more scope but also, mechanical is the best in other aspects. You should according to your interest. Both have good opportunity in future. All the best.

All the part time and correspondence B.Tech/ B.E. Courses have been declared invalid by government. No educational institute or government. Organisation consider such candidates for higher degree or job. Better option for you is to look for some reputed university like LPU, SRM, VIT, etc. And go for a valid degree from there after taking study leave from your work place. All these universities have wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students apart from good placements. Some even offer scholarships to students.

and compare your AIR with the previous year's cut-offs of your HOMESTATE NIT first then other NITs. Also, take care of the important dates of counselling!

Purely depends on you, your hard work and your preference. Since you are from mechanical, as a fresher, if you are gifted and skilled, you have a vast boundary but if you are a little bit on the downside, then you will be in a problem. Take GATE and get a good score, and SAIL, BHEL, etc. will be ready to take you. SIT has a good placement record, but for mechanical- nope!

First, if you have completed your 3 years diploma in mechanical engineering, then you are eligible for various state and central government jobs. Keep a close watch on leading job portals and employment news.
Second, for boiler operation engineer, you must meet the following criteria-
i) 3 years diploma or BE/Btech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Instrumentation, Power Plant and Production Engineering.
ii) Candidates should have experience in Operation and/or Maintenance of Boiler for
a) Not less than two years in case of Degree holders
b) Not less than Five years in case of Diploma holders

Sorry to say, but you are not eligible to take admission in this college with these marks.

Imagination power is needed in only 1 or 2 subjects of mechanical engineering. You just need to concentrate.
