Of course, going for polytechnic is good if you want to be technically strong than those who are joining engineering after 12th. After joining Polytechnic, you will be technically sound already as compared to freshers coming from 12th. While those who are coming by doing 12th they will lack knowledge as compared to you. The 2nd important thing is you will not have to go for entrance exam while applying for Engineering. Sometimes, it's problematic to score in the entrance and get a good college. So, you will be on safer side if you go for Polytechnic. If you want to apply for a college like NIT or IIT then you have to do 12th and take the entrance exam which is again hectic.
Choice is yours.

Hi Amruth, Becoming a commercial pilot can be considered difficult, but just as difficult as many things we achieve in life. Once you become a commercial pilot, to keep being one, you need the same level of dedication and effort you put when becoming one. It requires dedication, studies, and some personal sacrifices. You need to keep current all the time, so you have to keep studying throughout your entire career. But it will only teach you Physics, estimation, improve your mathematics, and your instinct. Rest is all buttons and pulleys. You need to get your MENTAL PHYSICS honed up to a very sharp level. Develop patience and resilience, because Top Guns Maverick is the absolute the worst role model a pilot could have, as long as you are not suicidal. As I said, a monkey can fly a Boeing 747. That's exactly how they are designing jets these days. What you need to learn is not to push buttons and handles, but to develop your patience, and logical thinking. Pilot training is not hard. You will be training in a Cessna 152. They are easy to fly, and much safer, once you have got the hang for them. However, landing one of these in a cross wind, is much harder, and no pilot training school/ course/ instructor will teach you how to do that. Hope this will help.
