If your MU-OET rank is till 35,000, you will get ECE. And, if the rank is till 45,000 you will get mechanical.

Many reputed private universities are offering B.Tech lateral degree. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of LEET scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of class diploma marks. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in class Diploma or LEET or even during the course. I think DTU is better option but if seen according to priority list which is best
NIT Durgapur, DTU, NIT Hamirpur & Jalandhar.
In NIT, Durgapur last year closing rank was 18112 so there is less chances but if take part in JOSSA counselling carefully then there will be a chances in Durgapur otherwise DTU is better option.

Hi Abhinav, Both the colleges are at par with each other, but when it comes to placements BIT Mesra outperforms NIT Patna. If you have an interest in CSE, go for it at NIT Patna. Don't make a compromise on your engineering discipline. Otherwise, BIT Mesra would be a better choice. All the best.
