You can take lateral entry. For that, you have to submit a NOC issued from past college and migration certificate. Admission will be allotted in that case when their is any vacant seat in respective year and branch.

Many reputed private universities are offering B.Tech ME. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of LEET scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of your

According to me, the basic difference is discipline. If you will study in Medicaps you will be facing a very tight discipline everywhere. There are no separate reservations in DJ Sanghvi for ladies or OBC or any other thing except for Gujrati Caste Linguistic Minority. Depending on the cut-off, you can get mechanical through the open category. There is no harm in trying. Hope this helps. All the very best.

IET-Lucknow is one of the most premium institutes for B.Tech. It is difficult to get admission in mechanical engineering in IET but you can go for other government colleges check the last year's cut-off, the opening and closing rank of the colleges and I think you will get admission in a government college.
Best of luck.
